Introduction and obtaining accounts (staff and students)
In addition to your account on the Maths computer system, which is managed by the Maths CO team, you should have been issued with an account managed by the University Information Services. It gives you access to three central services.
- Raven is the University's authentication service. It is used to allow access to services which are restricted to Cambridge users only, in particular for access to electronic journals when away from Cambridge. Many of the links on this page also require Raven authentication.
- Exchange OnLine (ExOL) is the University's central email service.
If you are unable to access any of these services, please email help@maths and include the following information:
- Your full name
- Your CRSID (if known)
- Whether you are a member of staff or a student
Passwords
Email, calendar and the University Directory
- The University Directory. Use this to search for people or institutions within the University. Many email programs use it automatically to search for Cambridge email addresses. Check your entry, update it, and publish or hide information about yourself. Also known as the University lookup service.
- Opt into or out of the public online email directory
- Check and update your mailing list memberships
- Apply for your own mailing list
- Your University Google Calendar
High Performance Computing
- Cambridge University HPC (High Performance Computing) Service for anything from large parallel jobs to small serial jobs
Other Services
- The UIS VPN service
- talks.cam, an online system for finding and publicising Cambridge talks
- Apollo, a repository for PhD theses, research output and other scholarly content.
