Troubleshooting email problems
Is the problem just with email?
Network problems and being over your quota can cause email misbehaviour, but this will normally be accompanied by other issues such as slowness or being unable to edit your files.
Try webmail
Check whether you can send and receive messages using University Webmail (ExOL)
If webmail also has problems, it is most likely an issue with the server. If webmail works, there is probably something wrong with your client's configuration. If you read your email on Hermes please contact help@maths as our desktops should already be configured correctly. Users of the local email server may find the tips below helpful.
