Linux Graphical Desktop (X Windows, X11)

The default supported desktop/window-manager for Maths Ubuntu is XUbuntu. Other options including Gnome, KDE, fvwm and twm are also available. To see the full list and select a different desktop, click the small round icon near the top right of the login screen (not the power icon). You can also set your desktop in the file .dmrc.

Advanced users who do not like the other options may configure the graphical environment using a .xsession file.

You can reset your gnome desktop using the command xreset.sh (full path is /alt/bin/xreset.sh). Then log out and back in.
