Introduction
Most members of professional services staff in maths use a managed windows system.
We have started a project in maths to retire our maths managed windows service and move people over to the University managed windows system instead. This service is known as UMD.
Some UMDs are laptops. Some UMDs are desktop computers.
These pages are a collection of topics we are frequently asked about. When the project is finished they will become our UMD documentation pages.
If you use the maths managed desktop and have not heard from us please drop an email to help@maths to tell us this and subscribe to our maths windows MMWS malling list. See below.
Help
If you need assistance with a UMD device first check our links on the left. Some will direct you to pages for more assistance and direct you to the UIS service desk.
For other issues contact the maths helpdesk to arrange a time for us to assist you. Please don't come down to our offices with a laptop. We can provide a better service if we have reserved time to focus on the issues you having.

- Subscribe to our maths windows MMWS one if you still have a maths managed windows system computer. To subscribe send an empty email to maths-windows-mmws-subscribe@lists.cam.ac.uk
If you have both then please subscribe to both lists. They are expected to be low traffic, used for announcements and changes.
