Connecting to Maths Network Drives from a Windows PC

You can connect to your N drive, any role drives that you use, and the store area remotely using a windows PC. To do so you must first have the Maths VPN installed, running, and connected.

1. Open a file explorer and in the destination bar enter \\maths.cam.ac.uk

2. You will then be prompted for your Maths login details. Precede your maths account name (usually the same as your crsid) with the text admaths\

3. After a short delay the explorer window will change and show you 3 folders;

home-space is your N drive

role-space contains the role drives

store-spaceis the shared store area

You can navigate down these folders to whatever it is you are working on.  To save time, create desktop short cuts to the folders that you use frequently.
