Winscp - an alternative for Windows

The alternative to Unison for Windows is called winscp.

Installing WinSCP

WinSCP is free software and can be downloaded from the WinSCP website.

Using WinSCP

Start WinSCP, then
Use ssh to connect to a Maths machine you can log into e.g. ssh.maths.cam.ac.uk. Select your remote and local folders.

To synchronise from your laptop to your home directory but not the other way around, select "Keep remote directory up to date" from the Commands menu.

To synchronize your home directory with your laptop (both ways, copying the newest files over) select Commands from the top bar, then Synchronize. Make sure Preview Changes is ticked.
