Webprint (No Software Required)

Webprint allows for printing without installing any software by using a web-based service.

Please note that this service only supports A4 printing with black ink and only double-sided printing.

Ensure that you are on the Cambridge network or connected via a VPN.

First follow this link to Webprint and log in. Next in the left section, select ‘Web Print’ and then select ‘Submit a Job:

Next search in for the Faculty of Mathematics (Maths_FindMe) printers:

State the required copies and then select ‘Upload Documents’ which will take you to this screen as follows:

Once the required file has been uploaded, you can then submit the job, and your file will be ready for printing.

To print your file, you will need to scan your university identification card on a Follow Me Printer to access your queued jobs and print the file.

Paper Cut (Software Required) PaperCut Solves Print Queue Deployment with New Release - PR.com

Installing the Print Deploy client on your device gives easy access for recurring printing and allows more flexibility by giving the option for coloured printing, different paper sizes and single sided paper printing.

The instructions for installing Print Deploy can be found here:

Install Print Deploy for MacOS

If you are having any difficulties attempting to install the Paper Cut software, please contact the Maths Helpdesk at help@maths.cam.ac.uk

Legacy Webprint (No Software Required)

Alternatively, we have another web-based printing service also called Webprint, however, these only print to non-Follow Me printers. This mainly includes the HP printers and Kyocera printers.

Please note that this service only supports A4 paper size and black and white colouring.

Please also note that this procedure is not as secure as using a Follow Me printer, due to not needing an identification card and the file being printed instantly.

Following this link to Webprint, it will prompt you to sign into your Microsoft Account which will then take you to the homepage.

To print from this service, you will need to upload the file in ‘Browse...’ and ensure the files are in a PDF, PostScript or plaintext format, as any other format is not supported.

To print to a specific printer, you will need to know its name, which is usually found as a sticker on the printer itself.

Once the printers name is known, select it from the drop-down menu in ‘Printer’ and proceed to fill in the remaining information followed by selecting ‘Print’
