The standard IT resources that are provided

Everyone on site has access to WiFi, wired Internet access, and printing, via our laptop network.

Various software is available to members of the faculty.

Purchasing IT Equipment .

Hardware

For all research and teaching staff (Lecturers & Postdocs) the default provision is a desktop PC running linux.

For administrative and support staff the default provision is a Windows PC.

PhD students starting in 2022/23 or beyond are expected to provide their own laptop (financial support is available for this). A dock, monitor, keyboard and mouse are available upon request.

For anything different to the standard/default desktop computer provision you will need funds to purchase it, or to make a good work-related case for what you need. Please contact  help@maths.cam.ac.uk
