Your data after you leave maths
- Please remove any personal data
- Home directories are archived for a number of years, scratch space is removed when the computer is reinstalled, data and store spaces are tidied by removing leavers data when they fill
- Groups who own data and store spaces have their own internal arrangements.
If any data you have generated needs to be kept please move it into a group owned space. If there is no appropriate group owned space then find someone to look after your data (they must agree to this), make a folder for it in a data or store space, put the string '-KEEP' at the end of the folder name and in a README file inside it tell us who the new data owner is.
Your web pages after you leave maths
Your profile page no longer displays after you leave maths. Please do not link your CV to it if you are leaving.
Your department page usually continues to show up for about two months after your leave.
Your email after you leave maths
We will redirect your maths email for a year after you leave. After that we use a contact address system whereby if someone emails you they receive back a message telling them your email address.
For as long as you have retained login access to the maths system you can edit your redirection or contact address yourself. Use the VPN is you are not physically in CMS. Otherwise (for the moment) email help@maths to arrange for updates. If they can't verify who you are they may arrange a third party phone call or Skype between them, you and someone known to both you and them in maths,
