Cambridge Mathematics Placements (CMP): 2025 projects
In summer 2025, a total of 20 students undertook CMP projects. There were 12 Academic CMP projects, which are mathematical projects hosted by departments, labs, and institutes within Cambridge university other than the Faculty of Mathematics (click here to jump to the list of academic projects). A further 8 Industrial CMP projects took place with host companies external to the university (click here to jump to the list of industrial projects).
2025 CMP Project Proposals
If you would like to browse the original project proposals / advertisements, which contain project descriptions, you can find them via the following links:
Links to the relevant project proposals are also included in the full list of summer 2025 projects below.

2025 CMP Presentation Day
The CMP Presentation Day takes place annually towards the end of August. It offers CMP students the chance to deliver a talk about their project and share what they have been working on with fellow students, CMP host supervisors, and friends of the programme. Also invited to present are the student undertaking projects in the CMS as part of the Philippa Fawcett and Cambridge Mathematics Open Internships. Below you will find a link to the 2025 CMP Presentation Day Schedule & Programme which includes talk abstracts. Where slides are available to view, you will find a link next to the relevant project below.
