Mathematical Research at the University of Cambridge

In a recent paper with Michael Bate, we studied the endomorphism algebras of simple modules for an affine algebraic group G over a field k. Everything readily reduces to the the case where G is pseudo-reductive; and for the questions we considered, it was useful to know some of the more detailed results about pseudo-reductive groups that had been obtained by Conrad–Prasad.
I’ll describe some of this.
