The brief of the Consultative Committee for Mathematics in the Natural Sciences is to monitor the quality of teaching of Mathematics in the Natural Science Tripos, via consultation with student representatives. It meets once a term.
Membership
The Consultative Committee for Mathematics in the Natural Sciences is a committee appointed by the Faculty Board of Mathematics. Its membership consists of:
- four members of DAMTP, one of whom is appointed as the Convenor,
- one member of the Department of Physics,
- one member of the Department of Chemistry,
- three student members, one for each lecture course.
Senior members of the Committee are appointed on a rolling basis from year to year.
Junior members are appointed for one academical year, after being elected by the students in Michaelmas term.
