Náboj is a fast-paced, problem-solving maths competition for teams of five designed to promote mathematical ability, inventiveness, ingenuity and teamwork. Teams compete in three categories, Juniors, Seniors, and Open. The Náboj competition is designed to give an opportunity to apply your mathematical knowledge to solve a range of interesting and challenging problems. It encourages and rewards teamwork and co-operation, and provides an exciting and fun opportunity to test and stretch your problem-solving skills
The Faculty of Mathematics is offering a virtual Open Day for prospective undergraduate applicants on Saturday 16 May. The afternoon includes presentations on admissions and STEP, short lectures, Q&A session and information for parents/carers.

This Y12 Girls in Mathematics event will help support you to develop your advanced problem solving skills and mathematical understanding, and explore some of the exciting, challenging and rewarding mathematics you could meet if you choose to continue your mathematical studies at university.

Join us on Saturday 26 October for this event to showcase black mathematicians and their contribution, and to inspire young black students to study mathematics at University. There will be a key note talk by Dr Nira Chamberlain, President Elect of the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications, short presentations by current researchers and recent graduates, and a panel discussion with current and recent students.
This full-day event for Year 12 girls (ages 16-17) studying A-level Mathematics is designed to broaden mathematical horizons, give a stimulating introduction to advanced mathematical problem-solving, and encourage more girls to study Mathematics at university. The day will include talks giving an insight into some of the areas of maths encountered at university and problem-solving workshops, as well as the opportunity to talk to current university Mathematics students.
