One hundred years of Quantum Physics: Cambridge Alumni Festival talk

Sat Sep 27th 2025, 4.30pm to 5.30pm
Venue:
Sidgwick Site, West Road, Cambridge

2025 marks the centennial of quantum physics. No theory of physics has ever had such spectacular success. In less than a century, quantum mechanics has brought us to an understanding so broad, powerful, and precise that virtually all contemporary technology relies on it. And this, despite the fact that nobody truly understands quantum physics.

Join Professor Frank Verstraete (DAMTP) for this talk at the 2025 Cambridge Alumni Festival to explore the fundamental principles of quantum physics and discuss its wide-ranging applications.
