Can you handle the truth? Facts, figures and communicating uncertainty
Tue Nov 14th 2017, 5.30pm to 8.00pm
Venue:
Peterhouse Lecture Theatre, Cambridge
How do ‘experts’ feel about communicating uncertainty around facts and figures? A distinguished panel of producers, users and communicators of official statistics discuss how uncertainty is, could, and should be communicated.
Join volunteer staff and students from the Faculty of Mathematics to share the excitement of the subject through hands-on activities, games and demonstrations (featuring everything from custard to cosmology!) for visitors of all ages from 8 through to adult.
