Eavan Gleeson

I’m from Dublin, Ireland.

Academic Background

In 2013 I completed Part III of the Maths Tripos in Cambridge, receiving a MASt in Mathematics. From 2008 till 2012, I read Mathematics at Trinity College Dublin, and was elected a Scholar of the University in 2010 based on exceptional academic performance.

Areas of Interest

I am interested in a broad range of areas in Analysis, though most particularly PDE. I especially enjoy existence/uniqueness theory and hope to pursue research in this area. During my final year of undergraduate study, I did a project studying existence and behaviour of solutions of a fourth-order nonlinear PDE modelling motion of suspension bridges.

I have done two summer internships in the Trinity College Dublin School of Mathematics, the first studying geometry of Banach spaces, the second Spectral Theory.

Outside of mathematics, I enjoy reading, swimming, music and fashion.
