Roger is a member of the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics atomic astrophysics research group. His current research interests are the effects of density on atomic processes, such as ionization and recombination. The results will lead to improved temperature and chemical abundance measurements, particularly for the solar transition region and corona.
