Research Interests

Blake is a theoretical and observational cosmologist. He has research interests across CMB and large-scale structure, with a particular focus on measurements of the gravitational lensing and scattering of the CMB.

Research Group

Blake leads the CosMicBacklight project, funded by a Consolidator Grant from the European Research Council (2026-). Group members and affiliates include:

Postdoctoral and senior researchers:

Alex Lague

Jordan Krywonos

Ola Kusiak

Fiona McCarthy (now affiliated Royal Society University Research Fellow)

Niall MacCrann (now affiliated Royal Society University Research Fellow)

co-mentored postdocs (primarily IoA-based): Emilie Hertig, Bernardita Ried Guachalla

PhD students:

Irene Abril Cabezas
