Ali Mashayek is an Associate Professor in the Department of Earth Sciences and an affiliate Associate Professor in DAMTP. He leads the Modelling Ocean Dynamics & Ecosystems Lab (MODEL) which studies the role of the global ocean in the climate system. Topics of current research include global heat and carbon budgets, ocean circulation, geophysical fluid dynamics, ocean biochemistry, and marine ecosystems. For more information, see personal webpage.
