Features: Faculty Insights

The cosmology, relativity and gravitation research groups in DAMTP work at the very frontiers of human knowledge about our Universe. With research data sets encompassing billions of galaxies, and new discoveries opening up a deluge of data, the computational challenge is huge. Featuring Professor Stephen Hawking, Professor Paul Shellard, Dr James Ferguson and PhD students Amelia Drew and Markus Kunesch, this video explores some of the work of cosmologists in DAMTP, and how the Faculty's new high performance computing facilities support research.

Find out more about the many areas of research in which the Faculty's high performance computing facilities are opening new horizons in this feature article: Cambridge sees further on shoulders of new giant.
