Quantum machine learning is an emerging programming paradigm for noisy intermediate scale quantum (NISQ) computers. This talk will provide an entry-level introduction to information-theoretic aspects concerning the analysis of quantum machine learning. No background in quantum mechanics will be assumed. The presentation will also highlight research directions.

*Note*: This talk will be slightly longer than usual, and will be 75 minutes.
