Sam works in the quantum fluids group within the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics. In general his interests lie in the emergence of structure in chaotic systems, with a particular emphasis on pattern formation in out-of-equilibrium condensates. Research themes include quantum turbulence and the dynamics of solitons.
