Mungo is a member of the Solid Mechanics and Waves research groups at the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics. He is being supervised by Professor I. David Abrahams FRSE and Professor Nigel Peake. His current research interests are in solid mechanics and acoustics. Secondary research interests include the Wiener–Hopf technique, engineering, and materials science. He is currently being jointly supported by EPSRC and Thales UK through a PhD studentship.

Recent problems worked on include acoustic scattering off a plane with a step, diffraction by a semi-infinite thick plate, and diffraction by a right-angled wedge using the Wiener–Hopf technique and a novel method developed by David Abrahams and Dr Raphael Assier at the University of Manchester.

Talks Given

Conferences and Workshops

These notes are based on three introductory lectures (Lecture 1, Lecture 2, Lecture 3) given by David Abrahams as part of the Isaac Newton Institute programme on the Wiener–Hopf technique. The notes have been expanded to include material not covered in the lectures.
