Faculty of Mathematics

I am a Wellcome Trust funded PhD student in Infectious Disease Epidemiology, currently working with Dr Olivier Restif and Dr Freya Jephcott.

Before starting my PhD at the University of Cambridge, I completed my Undergraduate Masters in Mathematics at the University of Oxford (2014-2018), and then worked as a Research Assistant at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (2019). At LSHTM, I worked in infectious disease epidemiology with Prof Mark Jit and Prof Kaja Abbas. This research evaluated the impact and cost of one-dose vs two-dose HPV vaccination campaigns - it is currently being written up for publication.

My current research explores the role of infectious disease modelling in international outbreak response. We are interested in how mathematical modelling is used by governments, health organisations and other decision-makers during a health crisis, and whether the process can be improved. This will heavily inform my future epidemiological research.

Please get in touch if you are interested in any of these projects. I am very grateful to the Wellcome Trust for funding.
