Academic background

  • M.S. Stochastics and Statistics, Humboldt University of Berlin (BMS), 2012 - 2014.
  • B.S. Maths and Physics, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, 2008 - 2012.
  • Computer Science, Yandex School of Data Analysis, 2011.

My master's thesis focused on tuning hyperparameters in Bayesian statistics and was written under the supervision of Vladimir Spokoiny. Earlier in 2015, I had the fortune to work with Markus Reiß in his research group at Humboldt University of Berlin on estimating geometric shapes.

My supervisor is Richard Nickl.

Areas of interest

My research interests include high-dimensional and nonparametric statistics, Bayesian statistics and machine learning.Generally, I am interested in providing theoretical guarantees for statistical procedures using various probabilistic techniques.

Other interests

Cycle touring, tennis, socialising with friends, cooking Vietnamese and Korean food.
