I was born in Saudi Arabia and spent most of my early life there (with a few years in Canada). I attended high school in Perth and then moved to Sydney for my undergraduate/masters studies. I’ve moved around a bit but Perth will always be home!

Academic background

I studied for a combined BEng(Hons)/BSc(Hons) at the University of Sydney from 2009 to 2014, with majors in aerospace engineering, physics, and mathematics.  My engineering dissertation (2013) was on the development of experimental plasma thrusters; my mathematics dissertation (2014) was on the use of spectral methods in magnetohydrodynamics. My MSc (2015), also at the University of Sydney, was on random banded matrices.

Areas of interest

I am interested in all things matrices (particularly the random kind!).
